London, Paris + Amsterdam

Many of London's museums are free to enter. Visit the Science Museum, the Natural History Museum, the National Gallery at Trafalgar Square, just to name a few. These are all free and many fun for the whole family.

With the high-speed trains, you will have the chance to relax along the way, to rest and take in the countryside

Paris bustles with sightseeing opportunities and great food as we all know. Visit Versailles or Monet's house in Giverny to get a bit more of a taste of France.

A visit to the Rijksmuseum is included, but be sure to visit the just newly opened Hermitage Museum and the many other museums or the Heineken factory.

Day 1:
Arrive in London and transfer to your selected hotel. Enjoy the remaining day at your leisure to discover the area around your hotel or venture out.

Day 2:
First full day in London. Visit the Tower of London, St. Mark's Cathedral and Piccadilly Square on a "Hop-on/Hop-off" tour of London. Afterward discover the area around your hotel and find a good, local pub in which to relax.

Day 3:
Continue your exploration of London or add an additional sightseeing tour to Stonehenge or visit Oxford and Stratford for the day. Of course, you could always revisit the historic sites that you wanted to see more of or take in a play or enjoy some other cultural event.

Day 4:
2nd-class travel by Eurostar from London to Paris in just under 3 hours (1st-class optional). Take in the country side, meet fellow travelers and enjoy the comfort of a high-speed train. Arrive in Paris and transfer to hotel. Remainder of day to venture out into the area around your hotel and breathe in the romantic air of Paris.

Day 5:
Today you can enjoy all that Paris offers with your Visite Pass along with visiting the major sites of Paris on a "Hop-on/Hop-off" tour, like the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame and the Tuileries garden.

Day 6:
Enjoy your last full day in Paris at your leisure. Add a sightseeing tour, like visiting Versailles or the D-day beaches of Normandy or any number of the other sightseeing tours Avanti can add to broaden your vacation in the City of Lights.

Day 7:
The last leg of this vacation begins after breakfast. After an optional transfer from your hotel to rail station, board Thalys to Amsterdam, where you'll have the chance to see more of the French countryside, along with Belgium and the Netherlands. Arrive in Amsterdam, after optional transfer, check in at selected hotel.

Day 8:
One your first full day in Amsterdam, after breakfast, visit the museums and wander along the canals. Amsterdam is a very walkable city, and their transportation system is a wonderful experience in and of itself.

Day 9:
After breakfast, embark on an exploration of the older areas of Amsterdam or take an optional tour outside the city to Den Haag and Delft. Be sure to take in a canal cruise, if you can, either in the evening or during the day.

Day 10:
Your London, Paris and Amsterdam experience comes to an end after breakfast. Return home or continue on to another leg of an independent vacation!
