Munich, best know for Oktoberfest, has all the draw of a big city, along with the Bavarian's warm welcome, helping Munich keep its charm. Beer fans will want to visit the Hofbrauhaus and bring along the family, for the entertainment, Bavarian food and the atmosphere of this well-known brewery.

Besides the "Sound of Music" and Mozart, there's plenty to see and do in Salzburg. Around the Alter Markt square, you'll find the perfect Mozartkugel (Mozart Ball), a confection of chocolate, nougat, marzipan and pistachio. Salzburg is also well-known for its lagers made by monks for centuries and the beer gardens are plentiful and fun places to meet people from around the world and the locals.

A visit to Schönbrunn palace and the Hofburg for first time visitors is highly recommended. Today's Vienna melds the historic with the modern with a burgeoning youth culture that embraces it's traditions, yet has an exuberance that wouldn't have been found 20 years ago. Unknown by many outside of Austria, Vienna also produces fantastic wines right within the city limits!
